Open .~CR files

Hi guys,

this time I'm making a small exception and submitting something cool in Windoze system. It happened few weeks ago that my 8GB microsd card got screwed up... with any sort of pic and video in it... my holiday pictures too.

Since it's always a pain recovering a very damaged memory card (mine was so f*cked that reading the first sectors made it invisible to the OS...) I tried any sort of program, till I came to CardRecovery.

It looks that the latest version of this sw can jump seriously damaged sectors till it finds a new stable cell. I was able even to disconnect and reconnect the card during the process!

Sounds great, but once you can see the preview of your files you find that a license is needed to save them. >_<

Unless you use this program:
ufile_download

Obviously you should do like I did and buy the license!

Cheers!

    1. This version is for windows, I didn't check it for a while, so I'm not sure it still works.
The procedure is as easy as described, just extract the tool to the target folder, run it, and get the encoded images an vids.
If still it does not work, give a practical example and the version of the sw.

  5. I click the .exe file in folder and it run for a second with msdos window and closed it self. And my temp file made by CR v5. I think its about windows version. I'll try it on XP.

And if you give me a mail add i will send you an example file.

    Thanks again.
    Take care...

i have the same problem as kagan ogdu....
    can you help me?

  8. SOLVED ->
    0. Do NOT extract the program into the same folder as the *.~CR files.
    1. Instead, extract the "CRDecoder.exe" file one folder UP (usually the same folder that contains "TmpFiles").
    2. Run the program.
    3. Enjoy your photos.

This worked for me from a Win 7 =]

did as you said, it reopened all the files from the temp file, but now it shows no info available. When I check the old fils it shows data available, but the new ones show 0(zero) data. What happened?

  27. Link is not working. Could someone possibly update it Please.

  28. Thank you! Link worked for me, and the decoder worked flawlessly for unencrypting / decompressing those .~CR files. Be aware though that Avira detects this file as a Trojan. I ran this on VirusTotal which showed 4 detections out of 55, so this is likely a false positive.
